Leeanna is a PhD candidate in Pause Lab co-adviced by Dr. Peter Siegel.  Previously, she received a Bachelor of Science honour’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Calgary with research experience. As for her graduate studies, she received a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, where her research focused on testing the anti-tumor effect of retinoids on Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Currently in Dr. Pause lab she mainly focuses on studying the emerging roles of FLCN-AMPK-TFE3 signalling pathway in cancer and immunity.
